Sonic Galactic is a 2D fan-game inspired by the Classics. Taking a more "Saturn" approach with its art direction, Galactic aims to be a sort of continuation to where the classics left off. Aiming to follow the classics, Galactic features new zones, brand new sprites, and a new character! This energetic mole is more than willing to join the team in their battle against Dr. Eggman! This has been a fan-game under the works for about 3 years, and is currently using Hatch Game Engine, an engine built from the ground up with accuracy perfectly replicating the classics.

The story takes place after Sonic 3&k. During this time, Sonic and Tails have gone on many adventures that we'll never get to see. Eggman tired of constantly having his plans foiled, decides to shake things up a bit. He takes over a random island, but this island has no "legend" nor mythical gems, it's just a random island. This island has no inhabitans which makes it the perfect candidate for Eggmans 'new' plan. He desides to stop using animals for robots because he sees it as a "waste of time". Now, with Eggmans new "3-phase" plan set in motion, he'll take over the world! On the other hand, Sonic is currently traveling the world on foot. He left his plane "Tornado" over at Tails' workshop for repairs. Sonic then sees an island in the distance and decides to check it out. This game is set one year after Sonic Mania's bad ending where Robotnik had the Phantom Ruby and Chaos Emeralds in possession. After the final battle in the core of the Titanic Monarch, Robotnik was stuck in Little Planet and started collecting the Time Stones and preparing his greatest plan yet. In the present, Sonic decided to invite Tails and Knuckles (but Knuckles rejects the invitation to guard the Master Emerald) to vacations on Heaven Shore, a pleasant beach he loves to relax in. Suddenly, Sonic witnesses Amy, Mighty, and Ray being kidnapped by Robotnik but the second Sonic was going to hit Robotnik, a fast creature flew into Sonic with Knuckles chasing it. Turns out this was Meta, a cybernetic fennec fox who is working for Robotnik. Meta had stolen the Master Emerald. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles agreed to take separate paths: Sonic will retrieve the Time Stones, Tails will save Amy, Mighty, and Ray, and Knuckles will retrieve the Master Emerald. Soon, they will discover a third foe, Fang the Sniper, who works with Robotnik as a mercenary. Also yes, Robotnik made all that to separate Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles.
